Default What books should I read to better understand options?

I have seen many posts with references to different books to read. Is there a way we can make a sticky with suggested reading materials? I have updated this post to include all the book recommendations that have been put in this thread for easy access to them all. If you have any other suggestions let me know and I will add it to our comprehensive reading list.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad - Robert T Kiyosaki

How I made $2 Million in the stock market - Nicholas Darvas

Covered Calls, Naked Puts - Ronald Groenke

Trading for a living - Alexander Elder

Options Made Easy - Guy Cohen

Better Stock Trading - Daryl Guppy

Options: Trading Strategies That Work - William Eng

Chart Your Way to Profits - Tim Knight

Understanding Options - Michael Sincere

Option Volatility & Pricing: Advanced Trading Strategies and Techniques - Shelden Natenberg

Options Made Easy - Guy Cohen

Options trading. The hidden Reality. - Clarles Cottle

The Option Trading Handdbook - George Jaboour.

Options, Futures and other derivatives - Hull John.

Options as a Strategic Investment - Lawrence G. McMillan

"Options and Options Trading : A Simplified Course That Takes You from Coin Tosses to Black-Scholes" - Robert Ward

Randomwalktrading.com:

1) The One Strategy (on BWB's)
2) Time spreads
3) Stock, options and collars
4) Option greeks for profit

Fooled - Randomness

I'm always looking for more education on the subject but I want to get the "right" education as we all know that there is plenty of 'buy my books' out there.

What are your thoughts and / or suggestions and why?

Good Morning!

I am not sure if this would fit under the options strategies, but it has been very helpful to me in learning to read patterns:

Chart Your Way to Profits - Tim Knight (teaches you how to use the prophet chart features as well)

The other one that I am just finishing up is:

Understanding Options - Michael Sincere (very basic, but helpful. I don't know about you all but I always appreciate a reminder about something I learned and then forgot)

And lastly, this one has been recommended to me a couple of times by successful traders (Mojo included ) :

Option Volatility & Pricing: Advanced Trading Strategies and Techniques by Shelden Natenberg (haven't read it yet, but it is on my to-do list)

The Nantenberg list is very complex so feel free to move that one to the bottom of the list.

Does anyone have a good book on the Greeks that they can recommend? Something a little more digestible than Nantenberg?

I just picked up Options Made Easy by Guy Cohen today at Borders because I am looking to learn more about the greeks. It seems like it is written in language that I can understand....plus there are illustrations!!! whoo-hoo!!! The other thing I liked is the different strategies, butterflies, iron condors etc are also taught in the book.

I am looking forward to diving into this book! My friends think I am nuts...oh well, I am going to be a wealthy nut .

On my list!!! Very good book and in fact I am thinking about re-reading it. And you have the right attitude about your friends. When it comes to money and the making of money most people are envious and/or inept. NEVER let it stop you as you will be thankful you did this when you're older.

I bought this one a while back and I'm only just getting started with it. Both Barnes & Noble along with Amazon have excellent reviews. I am only up to chapter 2, but the intro and the first chapter were good so far... Guy Cohen definitely has an easy to follow writing style along with an upbeat way about him.

I think Jen gets the favorite quote of the day:

"My friends think I am nuts...oh well, I am going to be a wealthy nut"

Beautiful!

At one seminar Don Kaufman from TOS said, you are a very special group here. So few will ever understand and profit from what you will learn.
A positive attitude about going to be wealthy is absolutely required. Whenever I have had a setback, I use that thinking to get back on track
