About
I’m a 38 years old investor, husband, and Dad with two kids. A serial entreprenuer since 12, I’ve had the good fortune to become successful in both software consulting and real estate.
I live near Washington DC and spend most of my time growing new businesses, mentoring others, and investing in real estate and stock options.
I hope to use this blog as a means to meet others interested in making money and to improve my skills as an option trader.

Hey Bobby,
Thanks for the compliments and I’m glad to see that you are enjoying your option trading. I live in Northern VA so I would be happy help you out with learning any new strategies. I’m always interested in trading ideas with fellow traders.
Be careful with your straight calls. With the major market trend now undefined (if not bearish) and time decay working against you, you could lose some money pretty quick.
All the best,
Mojo

Wow what a great blog! My name is Eric and I’m 23 and live in New Orleans. I graduated from Tulane University in ‘06 with a degree in finance. Post graduation I manged a 500k equity position of a larger portfolio and did real estate development with a firm in Nashville, TN, but the whole while playing poker. I now play high stakes poker full time. I have since gotten serious into technical analysis based trading and have read everything I can find on candlesticks and candelstick trends to all sorts of technical analysis techniques and indicators (macd, trin, rsi, bollinger, etc). I have been trading papermoney options w think or swim and would love to know a little more about you and how you got started trading. If you have time, please email me at evbass@gmail.com.
Thank you very much,
Eric

Hey Eric,
That’s pretty cool that you are playing high stakes poker full time. Its weird I have a couple of other friends that are doing the same. Do you ever play any tournaments near DC?
I started investing at 19 during the real estate melt down in 90-91. I moved from rentals to pre-foreclosures to buying distressed mortgages. I have a fantastic team of folks I work with that are doing a great job managing the real estate side. I decided to go over to the securities and options side really to just see what’s there.
Found options and futures and fell in the love with the math, leverage, and returns. I’ve been trading heavily for three years and its been a brutal journey. Nothing I have done in the past was this tough mentality or financially but I feel like I’m coming out of the dark. Now, I have some mad skills (bo staff skills, knun chucks skills) that I can use to make money from my laptop, in almost any kind of market, from anywhere in the world, for the rest of my life. Its not quite an even exchange but it will be soon. LOL!
Thanks for the compliments! I will send this response to your email address as well.
Have a great weekend,
Mojo
